Every classic set works the same way. Press a ring onto the paper with our reusable putty, drop a wheel inside it, poke a pen through one of the numbered holes and push. The teeth do the counting for you, and after enough laps the line meets its own beginning and the design closes.
What changes from box to box is how many wheels you get to play with and what they travel in. The Design Set Tin carries seven wheels and one ring. The Deluxe, the Retro Deluxe and the Kit with Markers carry nineteen wheels, two rings and a rack. The Super adds snap-together Spiro-Tracks, and the Die-Cast set swaps plastic for gold-coloured metal.
Do the pieces from different classic sets work together?
Yes. Our classic wheels, rings and racks share the same tooth size, so a wheel from the Design Set Tin runs happily inside a ring from the Deluxe Set.
Do I need special pens?
No. The wheels are engineered to take the pens in the box and most standard pens, markers and pencils you already own. Fine tips give the crispest loops.
